- If you have an old central heating
boiler, fit an energy efficient condensing boiler

- Switch off your light when you leave
your room
- Report under-heating and avoid the
use of electric heaters
- If your room is too hot turn off the
heating before opening windows
- Keep your fume cupboard / ventilation
off when it's not required
- Ensure your monitor and disk drive
power-down when inactive
- Press the powersave button on the photocopier
when you finish using it
- Switch off printers at the end of the
day and consider time switches for shared printers
- 'Purchase efficiently,' taking account
of eqipment energy use and lifecycle costs
- Don't let heating fight cooling - report
faults
- Take action! A small contribution
by all will result in a significant reduction in our energy
use.
